Canyon Lake is run by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Several parks sit around the shore.

Birds

The Corps says it manages some of the land around the lake as habitat for the endangered golden-cheeked warbler, and that it puts up songbird nest boxes from time to time. For which birds you're likely to see, check with the lake office.

Access

Check with the park. The official pages don't describe accessible paths or viewing spots for birding. The Canyon Lake office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at (830) 964-3341. Contact details are on the official Canyon Lake page.

Conditions change. Paths close, ramps get fixed, feeders come and go. Call the park before you go and ask about the features you need.
